STEPS
In Groups of three, you will create a visual, digital media presentation about your chosen country: 1) Research: Present on aspects such as history, cultural practices, religion, migration, politics, economics, geography, agriculture... 2) Explore a social issue that resonates with your group members. 3) Analyze & Synthesize: Draw connections between a historical artist and a contemporary artist from that country that relates to the social issue topic. Upcoming... eventually you will individually create a ceramics piece about your country! Job One: Historical Researcher- Compile historical information about your country's cultural practices, traditions, wars, religion, migration patterns, language, cuisine, fashion... Job Two: Artist Researcher- Search for both a famous historical and contemporary artist from your country. Job Three: Social Issue Researcher- Identify a historical or contemporary social issue of your country. We will be using digital tools like MarQueed for information collection, organization, analysis, and synthesis of ideas and Museum Box for presenting your learning. If you discover another digital tool you would like to use, let me know and we can consider incorporating it into our research process or presentations.
